The Shadow's Apache from 1960 is considered one of the best best guitar tracks, and best instrumental tracks of all-time. Incredible Bongo Band's 1973 version with the prized bongo drum intro didn't gain a lot of attention when it was released, but ultimately has come to be called "hip-hop's national anthem." Familiar examples include: West Street Mob, Beastie Boys, Sir Mix-a-Lot, MC Hammer, C & C Music Factory, Nas and Missy.
