This RZA-produced Meth album goes down as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all-time. This track, Release Yo Delf, samples the 1967 Treasure Of San Miguel from Herb Albert & The Tijuana Brass.

Syl Johnson had many hits starting in 1967 with Come On Sock It To Me. This 1974 track from the R&B/blues singer was sampled in 1994 for the RZA-produced solo debut from Raekwon on the song Heaven & Hell. The single was redone in 2006 by German singer Joy Denalance with a featured rap by Raekwon.

Shadowboxin' was the fourth and final single off GZA's second album, 1995's Liquid Swords. The RZA- produced sample-heavy album included many samples of dialogue from old kung fu movies. The song RZA sampled for Shadowboxin' was Trouble Heartaches and Sadness off Ann Peebles third album in 1972, the year before her signiture song I Can't Stand The Rain.

This is one of the best selling singles from the Clan, and amongst the many "lists" this song has made it on is Time's All-Time 100 Greatest Songs. The song samples As long As I've Got You, a 1967 track from the Isaac Hayes created girl-group The Charmels.

Wu-Gambinos was one of the first songs recorded for Raekwon's 1995 solo debut album Only Built For Cuban Linx. This track off the RZA-produced album samples I Like It off the Emotions debut album in 1969. This all-girl group was an all-sister group. The often sampled trio went on to produce great hits alongside Earth Wind and Fire's Maurice White - songs like Best Of My Love and Boogie Wonderland.

Criminology was the second single off Raekwon's Only Built For Cuban Linx. This album, which was ridden with dialogue from crime films, was considered to be the pioneer of mafiosa rap. It's been called one of the best Wu solo albums, and it's been called one of the best hip-hop albums of all-time. One of the two songs sampled for Criminology is Why Marry by The Sweet Inspirations, a soul and gospel group formed and led by Cissy Houston.

The other song sampled on Raekwon's Criminology is I keep Asking You Questions by Black Ivory, a 1970's R&B band from Harlem. The group featured famed disco producer Leroy Burgess, and some of their recordings feature Cameo's Larry Blackmon on drums. Black Ivory has had more than a dozen of their songs sampled in recent years from artists including Omarion, Mac Miller and Q-Tip.

Iron Maiden was the opening track off Ironman, the 1996 debut solo album from Ghostface Killah.. Of course the album was produced primarily by RZA. The album was different then previous Wu albums that were inspired by kung fu and crime films. Ironman sampled dialogue from blaxploitation films and it relied on soul for the sampling, such as Al Green's 1969 Gotta Find A New World used on the album's opening track.
