In 1973, soul singer Sylvia Vanderpool - known simply as Sylvia - recorded her hit song Pillow Talk. Sylvia started her recording career in 1950 at the age fourteen, she was known as Little Sylvia. In 1956 she was half of Micky and Sylvia - known for recording Love Is Strange. see HERE Shortly after the duo split in 1959, Sylvia married Joe Robinson. The two moved to New Jersey and started a record label. Throughout the 1960's, Sylvia penned songs for artists artists, including co-writing Love On A Two-Way Street by The Moments. When Sylvia wrote Pillow Talk, she originally offered it to All Green. After he turned it down due to his religious beliefs, Sylvia decided to record the song herself. Pillow Talk was an number one hit, reviving Sylvia's singing carer. In 1979, Sylvia and her husband founded Sugar Hill Records, and in the early 1980's they pioneered music videos - several of which were produced by Sylvia,
