LYN COLLINS - Think

Lyn Collins started her recording career at the age of fourteen. She is best know for her recordings with James Brown in the 1970's. Here most famous song - Think (About It) - was co-written by Brown and produced on his People Records label. The song was also the title track on 1972 debut album from Collins. Think (About It) has five different breaks that have been extensively sampled in hip-hop and dance music. The song is one of the most sampled songs of all-time - it has been sampled almost 1200 times. The most famous sample is the "Yeah! Woo!" that was sampled by Rob Base & E-Z Rock on 1988's It Takes Two. The first song to sample Think (About It) was Roxanne Shante's 1987 hit Go On Girl, produced by Marly Marl.
