Lenny Williams - Because I Love You

In 1975 Lenny Williams left his band Tower Of Power to pursue solo projects exclusively. This soul classic from that year was one of his biggest hits, and it has been sampled numerous times in recent years. In 2001 Mobb Deep producer Havoc sampled this for Nothing Like Home. In 2004 Kanye West produced a huge hit for Twista sampling this song for 2004's Overnight Celebrity, and West used the sample again the same year for I Got A Love on the debut album for Chinese-American rapper Jin. This song has been sampled over a dozen other times including for Jeremah's 2009 Birthday Sex.
