Disco To Go was the first single off the debut album from The Brides Of Funkentein. The album was written and produced by partners in funk George Clinton and Bootsy Collins. Before being released on the album, the song had been played live by Bootsy's Rubber Band. The Brides Of Funkenstein were P-Funk backup singers Lynn Mabry and Dawn Silva, who had previously been with Sly and The Family Stone.
