Afrika Bambaataa - Looking For The Perfect Beat

This 1982 track from Godfather of hip hop Afrika Bambaataa was the follow up to Planet Rock, it was the former DJ's fourth single. These early Bambaataa singles revolutionized music and culture and spawned whole new genres of music. In 1988 UK producer Simon Harris sampled this song for his world-wide smash hit Here Comes That Sound. It's also been sampled almost 100 other times for  songs such as LL Cool J and Jennifer Lopez's 2005 Control Myself, and Madonna's Die Another Day in 2010.
