The groove on 1995's controversial I Shot Ya Remix by LL Cool J comes from this 1975 Lyn Collins track. When the Trackmasters-produced track was released 2Pac thought the song was dissing him, referencing his being robbed and shot in a New York recording studio.  2Pac's response was dissing back on Lil Hommies, an unofficial release. DMX and Ja Rule soon jumped in to the action with track dissing 2Pac over his Lil Hommies beat.
