In 1973 Berry's music publisher sued The Beatles for taking lyrics and structure from his 1956 You Can't Touch Me, and using them in their song Come Together. The out-of-court settlement required John Lennon to record three songs that were owned by Barry's publisher, Morris Levy, including You Can't Catch Me. One of the three songs remained unreleased after Lennon's death, sparking a breach of contract lawsuit, and Levy was awarded $6,795. Later Levy released an album with unauthorized Lennon material and was sued by Lennon's estate - they were awarded $84,912.96.
